The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 23-year-old suspect for allegedly breaking into a flat and raping a 47-year-old woman.
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on March 26 in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

– Break-In and Assault: The victim reported that the suspect broke into her room and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
– Neighbor’s Intervention: The victim’s cries drew the attention of a neighbour, who came to her aid but was attacked by the suspect with a sharp object, injuring his forehead.
Police Response
– Arrests and Investigation: A patrol team was deployed to the scene, and the suspect was arrested. Both the victim and the injured neighbor received medical attention. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
