Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to accuse his father, Mr Olalomi, of exploiting him financially and taking his personal belongings without consent.

In an emotional outburst, the Zazu crooner alleged that his father removed his shoes, clothes, and other possessions, an experience he said left him deeply hurt and compelled him to speak publicly.

Portable drew a troubling comparison between his situation and that of late singer Mohbad, claiming his father was overly focused on his wealth and property. He said his life was more stable and peaceful before his father became actively involved in his affairs.

Questioning his father’s role in his life, the singer accused him of failing to support him during difficult moments, including run-ins with law enforcement. He also claimed his father played no part in his education or personal development.

According to Portable, his father refused to assist him when he wanted to learn tailoring as a skill, forcing him to fend for himself. He further alleged financial misconduct during a house construction project, claiming his father inflated the cost of building materials.

Portable said: “Anytime I have a police case, my Dad will never show up for me. What is your importance in my life? You didn’t send me to school. You are just like Baba Mohbad; you are always wearing my shoes and clothes. You can never inherit me. I will not allow you to do to me what they did to Mohbad.”

The singer accused his father of deliberately overcharging him and urged him to stay out of his life, insisting he would not allow himself to suffer the same fate as Mohbad.

“When I wanted to build a house, and I told him to handle it, he was always cheating me. A block of N300,000, he will call it N900,000. Leave me alone and let me live my life. You scammed me,” he said.
