The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Lagos State chapter, has elected Mr Adebola Babatunde as its new chairman at the association’s Annual General Meeting.
The election places Babatunde in charge of leading efforts to strengthen corporate governance advocacy and expand programmes for members.
Outgoing chairperson, Ms Efosa Ewere, said the chapter “recorded progress in corporate governance advocacy, partnerships and member-focused programmes” during her tenure.
She highlighted initiatives such as a corporate governance week and regular professional and wellness engagements.
Ewere added that the chapter “strengthened collaboration with professional bodies and improved its digital platforms and membership systems.”
Treasurer Mr Olusina Sokunbi reported that revenue rose to N13.296 million from N8.6 million in the previous year.
He said the chapter also “maintained a stable liquidity position to support its operations and programmes.”
Babatunde thanked members for their support and said his leadership would focus on “strengthening governance advocacy and advancing the chapter’s objectives.”
Babatunde, a corporate and commercial lawyer and managing associate at Greychapel Legal, now leads the chapter as it pursues broader professional engagement.
