Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has urged Muslims to support the less privileged during Eid al-Fitr, as the nation celebrates the end of Ramadan.
He delivered the message in Abuja on Friday through his media aide, calling on the faithful to show generosity and strengthen unity.
“This joyous celebration reminds us of the profound values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity that Eid-el-Fitr embodies,” Akpabio said.
He added that Nigerians should remain guided by “empathy, kindness, and generosity toward others, particularly the less privileged.”
Akpabio said acts of compassion can promote national cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
He also extended greetings to Bola Tinubu and Muslims across the country, wishing for peace, progress, and shared prosperity.
