The Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited [NDPHC] Head of Corporate Communications, Mr Emmanuel Ojor, has confirmed that the Odukpani oil and gas park will receive a dedicated electricity supply under a new partnership with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company will channel 10 megawatts from its Calabar Generation Company to support operations at the industrial facility in Cross River State.
Ojor stated, “Under the agreement, NDPHC will deliver 10 megawatts from its Calabar Generation Company, ensuring stable and reliable power for industrial activities.”
He explained that the Odukpani park will function as a key hub for downstream oil and gas operations, covering production, processing, and distribution activities.
Ojor noted, “The Odukpani oil and gas park is designed as a major industrial hub supporting downstream operations, including production, processing, and distribution of petroleum and gas products.”
He said discussions on the project began in 2025 through an expression of interest and progressed after a major engagement held on Feb. 25, 2026.
Stakeholders linked the development to broader plans for local content growth, reduced import reliance and increased value addition in the energy sector.
Ojor added, “It is expected to create jobs, support small businesses, and drive economic growth in Cross River and beyond.”
