A political rift between the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede, and the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been resolved following the intervention of Seyi Tinubu.

The reconciliation, which took place in Abuja, brought an end to weeks of tension between the two figures, with both parties agreeing to put aside their differences and work together moving forward.

Sources at the meeting said the peace accord was facilitated by Seyi Tinubu, with key stakeholders, including NURTW chieftains and aides of the council chairman, in attendance.

Speaking after the resolution, Almaroof-Oloyede described the dispute as unnecessary and confirmed that both sides had committed to maintaining peace and cooperation in Oshodi-Isolo. He added that efforts would now be focused on strengthening political unity and grassroots mobilization.

The council chairman also reiterated support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressing confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections, including the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He commended Seyi Tinubu for his role in resolving the crisis and urged political stakeholders in the local government area to remain united in support of the party’s agenda.

Both camps pledged to cease hostilities and foster a more collaborative political environment for the development of Oshodi-Isolo and Lagos State at large.
