Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Youth Consultative Forum in Kaduna State, Aminu Yahaya, has announced the endorsement of Shuaibu Idris, popularly known as Mikatai, for the party’s 2027 governorship ticket.
Yahaya said that members of the forum decided after reviewing the political situation and the state’s leadership needs.
He explained that the group considered “merit, competence, leadership capacity, and integrity” before endorsing Idris for the race.
According to him, Kaduna requires a leader with “a sound understanding of governance” and the ability to drive unity and development across communities.
The forum described Idris as an experienced politician with the intellectual capacity to tackle socio-economic and political challenges in the state.
It also stated that his “educational background, administrative experience, and human resource management skills” gave him an advantage among political contenders in Kaduna State.
