Sixteen-year-old Osasere Okundaye has made history as Nigeria’s youngest chartered accountant.

The remarkable achievement was celebrated by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who described her success as a testament to hard work, discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

In a statement issued on Monday, the minister said Okundaye’s accomplishment reflects the limitless potential of Nigerian youths and serves as an inspiration for young people across the country to dream bigger and pursue excellence.

He also commended her parents, teachers, mentors, and everyone who contributed to her success, noting that their guidance and support played a vital role in her achievement.

Olawande added that the Federal Ministry of Youth Development remains committed to implementing policies and programmes that empower young Nigerians to realise their full potential.

Okundaye’s feat comes a year after Temilola Blossom Arise, then an 18-year-old Economics student at the University of Ilorin, qualified as a chartered accountant after passing the professional stage examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
