Pandemonium erupted at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Thursday, July 3, after a fight between two men reportedly ended in the death of one of them.
According to eyewitness accounts, the altercation escalated into a violent confrontation during which one of the men allegedly stabbed the other in the neck. The victim was said to have collapsed and later died from the injury.
The exact cause of the dispute has not yet been established, and authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Witnesses said that immediately after the stabbing, an angry crowd began gathering at the scene, threatening to attack the suspect. Fearing he would be lynched by the mob, the accused reportedly ran into a nearby police station located within the Computer Village market, where phones, gadgets, and other technology items are sold.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the incident occurred and said the matter is under investigation.
