The Lagos State Government has launched the Electronic Planning Permit Processing System (EPPPS), enabling developers and property owners to apply for and obtain planning approvals online from anywhere in the world.

The announcement, made via the state’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, marks another step in the government’s drive to digitise public services and improve the ease of doing business.

Under the fully automated system, applicants can process planning permits remotely without visiting government offices, making the process faster, more transparent and more efficient. The EPPPS officially commenced full operations on April 1, 2026.

According to the government, the platform is designed to simplify planning permit administration, reduce processing delays, eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and provide seamless access to approval services for both local and international applicants.

The Lagos State Government urged developers, property owners and other stakeholders to take advantage of the online platform to obtain planning approvals conveniently from any location worldwide.

The introduction of the EPPPS is part of the Sanwo-Olu administration’s broader agenda to deepen digital governance, strengthen urban planning administration and create a more business-friendly environment in Lagos State.
