The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspected burglars after using forensic technology to trace one of the mobile phones stolen during a house-breaking incident in the Agbado area of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed on Saturday that the suspects — Sodiq Raji (32), Zubby Nzube (28), Adeyemi Omoyajuowo (30), and Chimezie Iwuanya (35) — were apprehended following investigations into a burglary reported on July 5.

According to Babaseyi, detectives attached to the Agbado Division tracked one of the stolen phones to Raji through forensic analysis. His arrest subsequently led to the capture of the three other suspects.

Police also recovered some of the stolen items from the suspects, while efforts are ongoing to recover additional exhibits and arrest other fleeing members of the gang.

The police spokesperson said the suspects would be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
