The Anambra State Government has taken protective custody of two children allegedly subjected to sexual abuse and exploitation by their mother.
The children have been placed under the care of the state Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, where they are receiving protection and necessary support.
The children’s mother has been arrested and detained by the Anambra State Police Command as investigations into the allegations continue.
The state government said it remained committed to protecting children from all forms of abuse and ensuring that anyone found culpable faces appropriate legal action.
