The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered and sealed a suspected illegal factory producing adulterated alcoholic drinks in the Badagry area of the state.
The operation, carried out following credible intelligence from members of the public, led to the arrest of 48-year-old Anaebo Emeka Hilary at Yafin, Badagry.
Police said operatives recovered suspected adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, wine labels and various production utensils believed to have been used for producing and packaging the drinks.
The factory was subsequently sealed, while the suspect was taken into custody and the recovered items moved to the station for further investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to the information.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led operations against criminal activities across the state and urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to the police.
