Socialite Afolabi Michael Kazeem, popularly known as KC Luxury, has pleaded not guilty to charges bordering on alleged drug trafficking and money laundering before the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The 49-year-old was arraigned alongside two alleged accomplices, Boniface Sule and Ikechukwu Ekugo, before Justice Musa Kakari on Friday.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) accused KC Luxury of involvement in the trafficking of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine.
He was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while reportedly preparing to travel to Paris, France.
The NDLEA alleged that KC Luxury was connected to the seizure of 184.5kg of cocaine at a DHL facility in Ikeja, Lagos.
He pleaded not guilty to 21 of the 22 counts filed against him, which include alleged illegal exportation and possession of illicit drugs as well as money laundering.
KC Luxury, who deals in gold and luxury goods, has remained in NDLEA custody since his arrest after the court, on August 20, granted an order extending his detention for 30 days.
The court is currently hearing the defendants’ applications for bail.
Further proceedings are expected to continue.
