Big Brother has disqualified Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, from the ongoing Big Brother Naija “Show Ya Sef” season following his physical altercation with fellow housemate, Tram.
Biggie announced Keivo’s disqualification on Tuesday after summoning the remaining housemates to the lounge and showing them footage of the confrontation.
“Keivo, as the perpetrator, has been removed from the house. He is therefore disqualified from the house,” Big Brother announced.
He also warned the housemates against violence, stressing that “violence is never an option.”
The disqualification followed a heated argument between Keivo and Tram on Monday night over the ownership of a black shirt.
Tram accused Keivo of taking his shirt, an allegation Keivo denied, saying he owned a similar one. The disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation, with reports from the house indicating that Keivo threw the first punch.
Other housemates attempted to separate the two men before Biggie ordered everyone to freeze and deployed three Ninjas to intervene. Keivo was subsequently escorted out of the house through the storeroom.
Before his removal, Keivo became emotional while explaining his side of the incident. He said the dispute was about more than the shirt and that being accused of taking something that did not belong to him had deeply upset him. He also said he did not want to leave the show with viewers believing he was a thief.
Keivo’s removal came just days before the grand finale scheduled for October 4, abruptly ending his bid for the ₦160 million grand prize.
He had been listed among the 10 finalists alongside Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.
His disqualification has sparked debate among BBNaija viewers, with some condemning his resort to violence while others have questioned whether Tram should also face disciplinary action over the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
Keivo becomes the second housemate to be disqualified from the “Show Ya Sef” season, following Nomy’s earlier removal.
His exit means his journey to the final has ended outside the eviction process, following a confrontation that began with a dispute over a shirt and escalated into one of the season’s major controversies.
