President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending four weeks in Europe on a working vacation.
Tinubu arrived in Lagos from Paris, France, on Tuesday aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, which landed at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 6:22 p.m.
The president departed Nigeria on August 30, travelling first to London before proceeding to Paris, where he held diplomatic engagements, including a meeting and dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.
He was received at the airport by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; and top security officials, among other government dignitaries.
Tinubu’s return brings his four-week working vacation in Europe to an end.
