The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected cyberbully, Saheed Teyinbo, popularly known as “Alfasuna,” over alleged repeated online attacks and disparaging comments targeting religious clerics and their beliefs.

Teyinbo, a resident of Alakuko, Lagos, was arrested following multiple petitions submitted by clerics who accused him of using social media platforms to attack their persons and religious practices.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, reportedly directed detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, to investigate the allegations after receiving the complaints.

A police source said one of the petitions was filed by Prophet Israel Oladele, popularly known as Prophet Genesis, a pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, who accused Teyinbo of making offensive and disparaging remarks about him and his faith.

Another complaint was reportedly submitted by Islamic scholar, Alhaji Sheikh Dr Hammed Olanrewaju Alfulanny of Yaya Abatan Road, Ogba, who also accused the suspect of cyberbullying and making comments against his religious beliefs.

The police further disclosed that Teyinbo was already wanted by the Kwara State Police Command, which had reportedly obtained a warrant for his arrest over similar allegations involving other religious clerics.

Following his arrest in Lagos, the suspect was interrogated and allegedly confessed to the offences. Police said he has since been profiled as investigations continue.

The command is also calling on other persons who may have been victims of the suspect’s alleged activities to come forward and submit formal complaints or relevant evidence.

Police said additional complaints would assist investigators in establishing the full scope of the allegations and concluding the investigation before the suspect is charged to court.

The command assured that the investigation would be conducted professionally, with all parties given an opportunity to present evidence before any further legal action is taken.
