Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to commemorate Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, extended his warm greetings to Christians across the country, urging them to embody the virtues of sacrifice and love displayed by Jesus Christ.

Minister’s Easter Message
Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of prayer for peace, unity, and stability in Nigeria during the holiday period. He reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering national growth and development.

Call for Kindness and Generosity
The minister encouraged Nigerians to extend love and goodwill to their neighbors through acts of kindness and generosity. He wished all Christians a joyous and blissful Easter celebration.
