Peter Nwachukwu, the widower of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been found guilty of culpable homicide in connection with her death on April 8, 2022.
He was consequently sentenced to death by hanging.

Delivering judgment at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Wuse Zone 2, Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme found Nwachukwu guilty after a lengthy trial initiated by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (OAGF).
The Federal Government had arraigned Nwachukwu on a 23-count charge, which included culpable homicide punishable by death, criminal intimidation, spousal battery, cruelty to children, and other related offenses.
