The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is set to begin scheduled maintenance work on the Omotosho-Ikeja West 330kV transmission line, a move expected to cause intermittent power supply and load shedding across affected areas.
According to a public notice issued by Ikeja electricity distribution company (Ikeja Electric), the maintenance exercise will run from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 21, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily.
The company advised customers to prepare for possible disruptions during the maintenance window and assured that all efforts are being made to minimize the impact on electricity supply.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause,” the notice read, underscoring the importance of the upgrade for long-term network stability and efficiency.
The transmission line in question is a key infrastructure link between Omotosho and Ikeja West, forming a critical part of the national grid’s capacity to deliver power to Lagos and neighboring regions.
