The Federal Government has launched Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and reintroduced staff welfare provisions to improve employee morale and support its economic reform efforts.

The initiative was carried out by the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja.

Key officials present at the event included the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun; the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Lydia Jafiya; the Director of Information, Mr. Mohammed Manga; and the Chairman of the Presidential Initiative on CNG, Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed.

The announcement was made recently at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The aim is to boost the performance of the ministry, make staff transportation easier, and encourage the use of cleaner and cheaper energy sources.

It also supports the broader goal of national economic transformation.

The CNG buses were provided under the Presidential Initiative on CNG.

Monthly staff welfare packages were also revived as part of practical steps to raise morale.

Staff were urged to stay professional and committed during the country’s economic transition.
