Mr. Daniel Okorie, a former PDP leader and estate lawyer on Tuesday stated that the outcome of the 2027 elections would depend on more than just party membership.
He said this on Tuesday in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
He explained that the results would also rely on the quality of candidates, how well parties connected with the people’s needs, and clear messaging.
Okorie warned that the ruling APC should not underestimate opposition coalitions, noting that Nigerian voters were becoming more aware and no longer voted based solely on party loyalty.
According to him, economic problems and insecurity are driving people to seek real change.
He emphasized that for the election to be fair, the votes must be counted honestly.
Okorie added that winning the election would depend on strong candidates, unity among opposition groups, clear communication, smart planning, and a transparent voting process.
He concluded that the ruling party’s power alone would not determine the election outcome.
