The PDP Governors’ Forum has slammed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for criticizing its political gathering during a period of violent attacks.

Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, speaking on behalf of the PDP governors, and Bolaji Abdullahi, representing the ADC, voiced clashing opinions on the matter.

According to Agbo, the ADC chose to exploit the tragedy for political advantage instead of showing compassion.

At the same time, Abdullahi accused the PDP governors of being insensitive by holding a political event shortly after multiple deaths.

The conflict began after the PDP conducted its meeting on Saturday, followed by the ADC’s reaction on Sunday.

The meeting was held in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, while the attacks occurred in both Zamfara and Katsina States.

Agbo clarified that the meeting had been scheduled before the attacks and focused heavily on security concerns, with the governors calling on the federal government to take more action.

Abdullahi argued that the governors appeared tone-deaf by smiling in photos taken at the event in a region still grieving.
