The Lagos State Government on Monday carried out an enforcement exercise to dislodge illegal street traders operating at the 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2.
Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the development in a post on X, where he shared a video of the operation. The footage showed enforcement officers clearing traders whose activities had been obstructing traffic, endangering pedestrians, and littering the environment.
“Our enforcement team is currently dislodging illegal street traders constituting nuisance at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2. These activities obstruct traffic flow, endanger pedestrians, and litter the environment,” Wahab explained.
He stressed that the state government would sustain its campaign to keep Lagos roads safe and orderly.
“We remain committed to keeping our roads safe, clean, and free of all forms of environmental infractions,” the commissioner added.
