At the opening of the CBN Fair in Kaduna, the Central Bank of Nigeria promised fair growth and stable prices for the Nigerian economy.

The bank said it would boost productivity, attract investments, expand financial access, and strengthen the economy through key reforms.

It listed reforms such as exchange rate unification, banking sector recapitalisation, the Non-Resident BVN, and the Unified Complaints Tracking System.

The assurance came on Wednesday in a keynote address delivered on behalf of CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso by Hakama Ali, Acting Director of Corporate Communications.

The two-day programme, held at Hotel 17 in Kaduna, focused on financial inclusion and public trust in the financial system.

The bank explained that the fair featured sessions on monetary policy, digital payments, consumer protection, and microfinance.

Kaduna Branch Controller Ahmad Dalhatu said the fair created a platform for engagement between the bank and the public.

Kaduna Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Rabi Salisu, described the theme as timely.

Market Women Association leader Sera Ayuba thanked the CBN for the opportunity and called for small loans and grants to empower traders.
