David Abioye, former Vice-President of Living Faith Church Worldwide (popularly known as Winners Chapel), is set to begin Sunday morning services under his new ministry on May 4.

Bishop Abioye, alongside Thomas Aremu, formally retired from Winners Chapel in October 2024, following an administrative policy review that introduced a mandatory retirement age of 55 for senior leaders. At the time of their retirement, Aremu was 67, and Abioye was 63.

The new policy also mandated that future leaders of the ministry would serve one or two terms of seven years each, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees (BoT).

After his retirement, Abioye launched a non-denominational ministry that initially hosted Sunday evening fellowships. However, during the conclusion of the service on April 27, he announced that the ministry would transition to Sunday morning worship, with services starting at 8 a.m.

“Very important information. From next Sunday, by the grace of God, our service is migrating to the morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8 a.m. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” Abioye told congregants.

Emphasizing that the new ministry was born out of divine instruction rather than personal ambition, Abioye urged members to seek personal revival as the essential foundation for broader spiritual renewal.
