The Federal Government has declared Thursday, June 6th and Sunday, June 9th, 2025, as public holidays to enable Muslim faithful across the country to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
This announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Magdalene Ajani.
According to Ajani, the declaration was made on behalf of the Federal Government by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

The Minister reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to people-centered reforms and initiatives aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, aimed at placing Nigeria firmly back on the path of progress and development.
He further encouraged all Nigerians to support the current administration in its ongoing efforts to restore the nation’s glory and advance its collective well-being.
