There is tension and fighting in the Oluwole and Aguda part of Ogba after an unidentified bike man popularly known as Okada allegedly stabbed one person to death.
It is unclear what led to the altercation but it was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict escalated when some Oluwole boys stormed Oke-Ira area in Ogba in search of the Okada riders, who are mostly northerners. This led to a street brawl.
Police officers from the ‘Area G’ command in conjunction Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have beefed up the areas to curb any clash between Hausa Okada riders and Yoruba residents in the areas.
A visit to the areas showed how Hausa Okada riders are fleeing for their lives in and around Ogba to avoid being lynched by the mob or escape from police arrest.
Roads leading to Excellence hotel Roundabout, Ogba Market and WAEC have been blocked with vans of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) unit of the police.
