‘He was a gentleman’ -Sanwo-Olu pays tribute to Okupe during service of songs

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his condolences to the family of the late Dr. Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe, who passed away recently.

Dr. Okupe was a renowned politician, distinguished Nigerian, and advocate for a better Nigeria, who served as special assistant on media and publicity to President Olusegun Obasanjo and later as senior special assistant on public affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Governor Sanwo-Olu described Dr. Okupe as a true gentleman, whose life embodied dedication and service to humanity, touching countless lives.

He praised Dr. Okupe’s remarkable legacy, which will endure in the lives he touched and the principles he stood for.

The governor’s tribute was delivered at the Service of Songs held in honor of Dr. Okupe, where he represented the government and people of Lagos State.
