Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic PSquare duo, took to social media last night in a heartfelt and explosive series of tweets, announcing that he has officially disowned his family.
“We are no longer family at this point! Family may be blood-related, but real family is defined by loyalty.”
Peter expressed years of silent suffering and emotional manipulation, revealing that his decision was spurred by the realization that love should not manipulate, loyalty should never betray, and family should never steal from you.
“Don’t let ‘family’ be the reason you’re drowning in silence. I did – for over 20 years. And it almost cost me everything. But now I know better. Real family doesn’t drain you, shame you, discriminate against you, or ignore your pain. My sanity matters. My mental health is a priority.”
Citing the tragic death of singer Mohbad as a wake-up call, Peter admitted that playing the “bigger person” only deepened his pain and enabled toxicity.
“After watching how Mohbad’s story played out, I vowed to never again stay silent or act ‘mature’ at the cost of my peace. Love me or hate me, I will continue speaking my truth!”
He also addressed long-standing rumors that his wife controls him, exposing deeper issues involving financial betrayal within the PSquare brand:
“They made y’all believe my wife is controlling me, but the truth is, his wife owns 80% of the company that stole and diverted PSquare’s proceeds for years.”
Calling out publicists who allegedly work to smear his image, he made it clear that he will no longer tolerate deception.
“I am not MayD or Cynthia Morgan. I am Peter Okoye – THE ROCK, OKWUTE of the Okoyes. The truth will prevail.”
Peter concluded by stating that the highly publicized PSquare reunion in 2021 was a sham, one he regrets participating in:
“I found out I was used in that whole November 2021 reunion. Peter, you were stupid . But since we’re in court now, I’ll wait for the right time to reveal everything.”
