Popular actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Liz Anjorin, have returned into the ring.

The old war between them, which friends and foes thought was over, resurfaced days ago, despite the motherly advice a law court gave them last year.

In a motherly gesture, Justice Olabisi Akinlade, who was hearing an alleged defamation case Ojo instituted against Anjorin, had brokered peace between the actresses.

One only needed to see the actresses smiling as they left the courthouse, following Justice Akinlade’s intervention as a mediator to reconcile them.

Speaking after the proceedings, Anjorin’s lawyer, Olabiyi Ademola, confirmed that both actresses were ready to move forward peacefully.

He added that the judge offered both actresses ‘motherly advice’ to cease their social media fighting and cursing and instead embrace peace.

Mr Ademola said, “The judge assumed a maternal role, admonishing her daughters, offering advice, and emphasising that court appearances aren’t perpetual. She encouraged them to resolve their differences, and I expressed confidence that justice would prevail, evidenced by their smiles as they left the courtroom.”

But welcome to April, 2025, the month of the renewed battle, as if Justice Akinlade’s words are now in vain.

Iyabo Ojo accused Lizzy of making veiled threats online, while Lizzy fired back with accusations of envy and deceit.

This new exchange happened on both actresses’ verified Instagram pages—@iyaboojofespris and @lizzyanjorin_original.

Screenshots and video clips of the argument have gone viral. Fans are once again divided over who’s right.

Some commentators are calling for peace, urging both women to settle things privately.

Others are fuelling the drama by taking sides.

Iyabo has hinted at taking legal action if the insults continue.

Lizzy, meanwhile, insists she’s simply defending herself.

Many believe the rivalry might be rooted in past business and personal misunderstandings – or whatever.

What is, however, paramount is the need for the duo to see themselves as role models and not rivals for life, and make Justice Akinlade’s words the gospel they should uphold.
