The Environmental Task Force Team led by CSP Adetayo Akerele, in the early hours of Tuesday, July 23, confiscated motorcycles popularly known as okada constituting nuisance and traffic in the Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Marina area of the state.
Commissioner, Environment and Water resource, Tokunbo Wahab, made this known on X, adding that some street traders along the axis were dislodged.
Sharing videos, Wahab wrote: “During the early hours of today, the Environmental Task Force Team led by CSP Adetayo Akerele raided Lekki, Ikoyi, VI and Marina in Lagos confiscating okada constituting nuisance and causing hold up on the roads.
“The team also dislodged street traders along the axis.”
