The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has issued a stern warning to motorists against the unlawful and indiscriminate parking of vehicles across the state, emphasizing that violators will face strict enforcement measures.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, revealed that the Authority had responded to public complaints by serving a 24-hour removal notice to the owners of 30 trucks and seven cars parked illegally along Sapara Williams Street in Ikeja.
Adelabu stressed LASPA’s commitment to maintaining order and preserving public infrastructure by ensuring compliance with designated parking zones. She added that failure to comply with the notice would result in enforcement actions, including possible towing and fines.
“Indiscriminate parking not only obstructs traffic flow but also poses a threat to public safety and urban planning. We are committed to restoring sanity and ensuring that public spaces are used responsibly,” she stated.
She urged all vehicle owners to park only in designated areas to avoid penalties and disruption.
