Flash: Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lagos commits suicide

A Deputy Commissioner of Police serving in Lagos State, Gbolahan Olugbemi has reportedly committed suicide.

He worked at the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FIID) annex, Alagbon, Lagos

The deceased who has served as an Area Commander in Lagos and was at a time an aide de camp of late Adebayo Alao Akala, former governor of Oyo State, was said to have returned home for Easter where he committed suicide.

His death was discovered in the house in Oyo state on Monday afternoon.

It is still unknown who found the body.

Olugbemi lived alone on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Lowcost area in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

It is unclear if the deceased was married or not.

The police have already cordoned off the area, although groups of supporters were seen, whispering about the situation.
