The Lagos State Judiciary has approved a one-week Easter break for its workers, from April 18 to April 25, 2025. This decision was made by the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, to allow judicial workers to celebrate the Easter holiday.
According to a statement by Tajudeen Elias, Acting Chief Registrar, workers are expected to resume work on April 28, 2025. During the break, arrangements have been made to handle urgent cases. Each judge will deal with urgent applications related to already assigned cases, while unassigned cases will be handled by qspecifically assigned judges.
Additionally, the statement noted that urgent cases may still be heard during the vacation period, provided that the conditions prescribed by Order 49, Rule 5 are observed and complied with.
