Lagos not missing Bobrisky as ‘mummy’ of Lagos celebrates New Year in exile

For the first time in many years, Lagos and her acclaimed ‘mummy’, Bobrisky, have celebrated its Christmas and the New Year thousands, if not millions, of kilometres apart.

The controversial crossdresser had always been in the country’s commercial nerve centre where he acted his way into limelight, claiming to be and dressing like a woman.

He has, however, left the country in an unofficial circumstances after security operatives began investigation over how he observed his jail term.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment over naira abuse.

A report by online critic, VeryDarkMan, however, sparked a winding controversy as he alleged that Bobrisky had more than a VIP treatment while in prison.

From his new base abroad, the crossdresser has continued to reach out to his loved ones, via social media posts especially.

In one of his recent posts, he canvassed mercy for Naomi, the ex-olori of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, over her detention following the stampede that killed 35 children in Ibadan, at the venue she wanted to hold a charity programme.
