The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has launched a major enforcement operation in the Ikeja area to curb indiscriminate parking and restore sanity to the roads.

The exercise, which targeted key locations including Computer Village, Allen Avenue, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, GRA Ikeja, and the White House Event Centre on Billings Way, is part of LASPA’s broader initiative to promote a more orderly parking culture and reduce traffic gridlock across the state.

According to LASPA, the clampdown aims to tackle the persistent challenge of illegal roadside parking, which has been identified as a major contributor to congestion in Lagos.

The agency has urged all motorists to comply with the State’s Parking Regulations, warning that enforcement will continue across all parts of Lagos without exception.

“No area will be exempted from this ongoing exercise,” LASPA stated, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring a safer and more efficient transportation environment for all residents.
