More than eight passengers sustained severe injuries on Tuesday following a multiple-vehicle collision on Otedola Bridge, outward Lagos.
The incident occurred when a loaded truck reportedly lost control and rammed into two 18-seater buses, a mini-bus (popularly known as korope), and five cars, causing panic and traffic disruption along the busy route.
Emergency officials swiftly evacuated the injured to the Accident and Emergency Centre at the Old Toll Gate for urgent medical treatment.
Recovery efforts are currently underway to clear the affected vehicles from the road and restore free movement.
Other emergency responders are on the scene managing the situation and ensuring public safety.
