Music mogul and founder/former President of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy has announced the appointment Tega Oghenejobo as the new President and Chief Operations Officer of Nigeria’s biggest music label, Mavin Records.
Oghenejobo takes over the administrative functions of the company. The appointment is with immediate effect.
TegaMavin as he is known on socials was till today, the COO of Mavin Records and is said to be responsible for handling most of the artist endorsement deals as well as pitching the company’s biggest business successes, notably the earlier investments by Kupanda Capital and the recent majority acquisition and investment into Mavin by Universal Music Group said to be valued at about 125 million dollars with a clause that could raise to 200 million dollars.
In his statement, Don Jazzy affirmed Tega’s ability to run the company saying he is often praised for being able to spot and raise superstars, but he can proudly say the most genius thing he has done in his life was being able to spot the passion and resilience in Tega.

Tega is said to have started learning the ropes as an intern during the MoHits days when he handled promotions for MoHits in Warri, before moving to join the then newly formed Mavin Records in Lagos as a road manager for D’Prince and rose through the ranks to become the company’s Chief Operations Officer in 2019.
