Tragedy has struck the Nollywood industry once again following the death of veteran Nigerian movie producer and actor, Kayode Peters, in Canada.
The news of his passing was confirmed on Saturday by entertainment blogger Cutie Juls via an Instagram post, which read:
“Sad, Kayode Peters, movie actor and producer, passed away in Canada this morning. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
As of the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding Peters’ death remain undisclosed.
Peters rose to fame in the early 2000s for his role as Koko in the popular comedy series Twilight Zone and Flatmates. He was also a renowned theatre director and made significant contributions to Nigeria’s television and stage drama scene, with works such as Extended Family and other notable productions.
His passing marks another painful loss for Nollywood, where he was celebrated for his creativity, wit, and commitment to the growth of Nigerian entertainment.
