Operatives from the Ebute Ero Division in Lagos Island have successfully apprehended a man named Jackson Abraham in connection with the theft of a vehicle. The arrest occurred during a routine surveillance patrol when officers, acting on reasonable suspicion, intercepted the suspect driving an ash-colored Mitsubishi Space vehicle.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Abraham had removed the vehicle from a parking area in Ogun State without the consent of its rightful owner, who resides at the same address as the suspect. The stolen vehicle was promptly recovered in good condition and has been taken to the police station for safekeeping.

The vehicle’s owner, who had previously reported it missing in Ogun State, has been contacted and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

As of now, the suspect remains in custody while arrangements are being made to transfer both him and the recovered vehicle to the Ogun State Police Command, where the case was originally reported and is under investigation.

Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has reiterated the Command’s dedication to combating vehicle theft and enhancing public safety. He encourages residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly, emphasizing that community cooperation is vital for effective crime prevention and recovery efforts.
