For recently (and often) embattled street star, Portable, good news emerged last week.

The artiste who had been prospecting for collaboration with bigger stars such as Davido and Wizkid got something closer as he and globally acclaimed rapper, Odumodublvc, announced a collaboration.

Besides, the latter was said to have gifted him N5m to cement the progress.

Cool news, a good development some people will see this.

The reservation many may, however, have borders on how long the romance will last and how mutually profitable and peaceful.

The reason is that Portable has proved to be a rascally star who too soon has issues with partners.

He has, for instance, not fought some producers, he has also had brushes and slammed some of his helpers that include Olamide, who helped in making his breakthrough ‘Zazoo’ song a big reality by featuring in it.

No one should wish Portable evil, though.

While some analysts believe that rascality is part of his trade secret, others would think he might not always be at fault.

Besides, there is always room for change, with the hope that the ‘Were Olorin’ (mad singer), Omo Olalomi (being a lineage praise) is also learning his lesson.

Portable annuounced the collaboration at a time he made a wrong entry into the humbling world of fuji icon, Saheed Osupa.

He had called out the fuji great after the latter allegedly asked a streaming platform to bring down a track – for illegally tapping one of his (Osupa’s) songs.

As ‘Phenomenal.com.ng’ recently wrote, Portable arguably miscalculated. Rather than apologising to Osupa or pleading for leniency, he insulted him, thus sparking the anger of many of Osupa’s ardent followers and other stakeholders.

As he grapples with the fruits of the misadventures, however, the Odumodublvck’s arrangement has streamed in, with the hope that all will be well at the end of the day.
