Music legend, Innocent Ujah Idibia, publicly known as 2Baba, has opened up about his separation from his longtime partner and actress, Annie Idibia.
Speaking during a recent episode of the +234 Mzansi Podcast, co-hosted by media personalities Nedu, Acapella, and Kifilwe, 2Baba addressed the emotional toll of their relationship and what led to their split.
When asked if he had any regrets or would have done things differently, the award-winning singer responded with calm sincerity.
“I think both of us, we gave it our best,” he said.
“Why we’re not together today, it’s not something I’m going to start talking about in public. Me and her, we get our understanding. She’s amazing, like I said earlier. It just wasn’t working anymore. That’s just it.”
2Baba’s comments mark the first time he has publicly acknowledged the end of his relationship with Annie, whom he married in 2012 after years of an on-and-off romance that captivated fans across Nigeria and beyond.
