The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Life Camp, Abuja, has adjourned the trial of popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, in an alleged assault and battery case until November 26, 2025.
The case was filed by fellow musician Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck of violently assaulting him during a public event on December 16, 2024.
Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi adjourned proceedings after the claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that although the defendant had been duly served with all necessary documents, no response had been filed.
“The hearing may not commence today because the defendant’s counsel, Sheriff Bello, has yet to respond,” Ojembe told the court.
Bello, however, pleaded for more time, requesting a new date to enable him “put his house in order” and adequately prepare for the case.
According to court filings obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Kraziecent alleged that he was peacefully taking photos and videos at the event when Odumodublvck physically attacked him without provocation, damaging his iPhone 15 Pro Max in the process.
The claimant accused the rapper of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking several remedies, including:
- Payment of medical bills incurred as a result of the assault;
- Compensation for the damaged iPhone 15 Pro Max;
- Damages for public humiliation and reputational harm;
- A public apology to be published across Odumodublvck’s social media platforms and at least two national newspapers;
- A perpetual injunction restraining the rapper and his associates from further harassment or intimidation.
The case has sparked heated conversations on social media, with many fans expressing shock over the allegations against the fast-rising hip-hop star.
