President Bola Tinubu on Friday visited his late mother’s house in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State after attending Jumat prayers.
His mother’s home, was in fact where Tinubu also lived before moving into Lagos House, Marina as governor of the state.
The home located on Sunday Adigun street is less than 500 metres to the Lagos state secretariat and governor’s office.
His mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, moved from Ogba to Alausa after the president moved to Ikoyi upon completing his governorship.
The visit came shortly after the President joined fellow worshippers for the Friday congregational prayers, where prayers were offered for his well-being and successful leadership of the country.
The mosque located in the central business district of Ikeja is overlooking the Lagos secretariat where the president also prayed as governor. The mosque belongs to the state government.
Upon his arrival at his mother’s residence, a mammoth crowd of family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to welcome and pray for him. The president is visiting and meeting family members at their family home for the first time since he emerged as president. The home is now occupied by his daughter and other family members.
