Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has dismissed the debate over whether Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential election.
Kwankwaso, who is now set to run alongside Obi in the 2027 presidential election, made the remark during an interview when asked if he believed Obi won the 2023 poll.
He said the debate was no longer relevant and urged Nigerians to focus on the next election.
“No, I think that is gone. I think we should look at the future because that debate will not help anybody,” Kwankwaso said.
He added, “Now we have a president in the seat. Now what is important is the 2027 election.”
Kwankwaso, however, expressed confidence that the NNPP would emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.
“I personally believe that, by the grace of God, NNPP will win the election in 2027,” he said.
