Veteran rapper, William Orioha, popularly known as 2Shotz, has recounted how an assault allegation by actress Beverly Osu wrecked his music career, marriage, and family life.
Speaking on The Teju Babyface Show, the rapper revealed that the allegation cost him virtually everything he had built.
“I was accused of so many things that I really am not. Everybody tore me apart. At the time, I was in the U.S. My then wife was quietly taking note of how she would use that against me to destroy me,” he said.
Clarifying the timeline, 2Shotz explained that the incident with Beverly Osu happened long before his marriage. According to him, Beverly, who featured in one of his music videos, used to visit him regularly and wanted a relationship.
“We were scuffling, we were arguing. Inside that scuffle, my hand brushed her face and she called it beating. If I beat you, it would show now,” he insisted.
The rapper said the fallout was devastating.
“It actually cost me my marriage. It actually cost me my daughter. I haven’t seen my daughter once. Everything went down. I wasn’t getting shows. I wasn’t getting deals. I lost my house. I almost killed myself. I walked into the water, and people had to pull me out,” he revealed.
