President Bola Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja for official visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states, the Presidency has announced.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president will begin his trip in Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission several projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.
While in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor and senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
The president will thereafter proceed to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the revered leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.
Following the condolence visit, Tinubu will travel to Lagos State, where he is expected to spend the end-of-year holidays.
During his stay in Lagos, the president will be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27. The festival, which will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will honour notable personalities, including the president’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
The presidency said President Tinubu will also undertake other official and social engagements while in Lagos.
