A man identified as Ayoola Ayanwale is currently wanted by the police after allegedly stabbing his wife, Ganiyat Ayanwale, to death in an unprovoked attack.
The incident occurred at their residence on Olutayo Alao Street, River Valley Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos. According to eyewitness accounts, Mr Ayanwale reportedly stabbed his wife five times, committing the act in the presence of their three children before fleeing the scene.
Neighbours said they rushed in after the attack and made desperate efforts to revive Mrs Ganiyat Ayanwale, but she was later confirmed dead.
Mr Ayoola Ayanwale is said to limp on one leg and is currently at large. Members of the public with useful or tangible information that could aid in his arrest are urged to report immediately to the nearest police station or security agency.
Authorities have described the incident as a heinous act, and investigations are ongoing.
