The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has launched a dedicated anti-crime patrol operation along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road as part of efforts to curb criminal activities on the corridor.
Under the new security arrangement, four patrol teams have been deployed to strategically monitor the route. The teams are to operate round the clock (24/7), ensuring sustained visibility policing and a rapid response to any security threats.
The initiative strengthens existing security measures, complementing the patrol vehicles that have been stationed along the highway since December 2025 to enhance safety for commuters and residents
